So it's six months later since the last post 8D"

I've been doing a lot of transitions --- graduated, moved, got an internship and a side job to pay for it, and along the way have been role playing, iscribbling, and generally been taking time to demonstrate exactly what a derp is with my life 8D"

My tolerance for bad rps has been increased now that I've endured iScribble rps - at the same time, I also discovered just how awesome image-rps are, now that I found people to do it with. So in general, my derp-ness has not decreased, but my eyes have been opened further to more options.

Life is good :D

Alright.

So I finally settled down (with food) for fifty seconds and looked over my schedule.

I have two more months until I finish school. Plenty I'll have to work on during these two months. So even if I'm going stir-crazy at the moment with not many entertaining things to do, I think I'm going to be fine.

The week of no class really disappointed me as nothing fun really came out of it - but that's just the way it is. The timing wasn't right, so I have to accept that I have to shift my focus elsewhere. (Like schoolwork? Um.)

I'm also considering changing accounts once I get into the working field. Or at least go through all my accounts everywhere with a fine-toothed comb to make sure everything is in its right, fictional place. Otherwise, this is all a liability.

What happened to rich text editing features??? Haven't been back to lj for a long while, I missed some important update or something?

So I've never really written any reviews about Naruto, because:

1. It is simply too long.
2. Its contents sporadically move me, or bore me. I can't make up my mind about it.
3. The Naruto fandom is peculiar, and my tastes differ from the majority, or so it seems.

There are several patterns or common themes throughout Naruto the manga: (Probably will add to it as I remember things along the way :P)

1. Hatred <===> Rejection <===> Isolation VS Relationships <===> Acceptance <===> Love
ex/ Sasuke <--> Naruto, Gaara <--> Naruto, village <--> Naruto/Gaara, girls <--> Sakura, Team <--> Kakashi, classmates <--> Naruto's mom...etc.

2. Inheritance - Will which is passed down from generations to generations, teachers to students, leaders to followers, friends to friends,opposites...etc.

3. Protection - This every shounen manga would speak about. Because one has someone to treasure/protect, one becomes stronger than those who are alone.

But today I've finally caught up to chapter 504 - I think it's a good place to start reviewing.

Summer vacation? What is that? It has to be a fantasy.

Well, I still have August. I guess I should've started planning something fun for my only month of free time earlier, but there was simply no time - -

Happy to get breather time for a while though, and hopefully the Fall classes won't kill me. Seriously. ORZ

Here is a list of recent cravings in RP: (outside of my constant favourites)

- Themes: Action adventure/Romance. Seriously - I'm bored with rp sex. That might be incomprehensible to some, but I've done so much of it that it's becoming a routine, and what I want now - are relationships. I can do great sex scenes still just fine, but without the romance/plot/psychological dynamics as the focus, it becomes just another chore for me. Action/Adventure is just my craving for action-movie kind of excitement. :D I like to adventure, literally. So as a rper, maybe my characters are crawling through the adventure howling for their mommies (no they won't = = ), I'd be clapping my hands behind the screen happily and sated.

- Naruto-verse OC: I wanted to play a teacher that's something of a mixture of Jiraiya (the super pervert), Fai from Tsubasa, and Russia (from APH). Narashi Shiraishi was such a character - a harmless-looking, smiling teacher who jokes about pedophilia and lolicon. I liked Gauge for this character (he'd been really Naruto-styled, which I really liked), but that rp discontinued too early. I'd like to play this similar situation out longer than that if possible. It doesn't have to mirror this plot line of course. I'd just like a chance to play him more.

- Metaphorical fairy tales in Modern settings: I'm listing this because I have not met even one rper interested in this. For example, metaphorical Rapunzel played out on an elite professional (such as a doctor) who has no social life (as though on a tower.) A patient coming in for professional reasons may be like the prince beneath Rapunzel's tower. It would be pretty interesting if this can be done - I imagine it being beautiful writing at the very least. Perhaps this is no good for rping, but good for novel-writing. Meh.

- Fantasy-verse OC: I always like this setting/theme, but never seem to get very successful full rps out of it because players often lose interest/patience earlier than I do. I am SUPER patient when it comes to building up long term conspiracy, you see. I come up with elaborate plans/conspiracy schemes when I'm given the freedom and situation to do so :P
My favourite LOTR had been with Torr & Gilgaerin. The writing style that rper had done was simply gorgeous, even if it ended too early and none of my long-term conspiracy plans got a chance to play out. I really miss that gorgeous writing. The thing that attracts me the most about this setting is the imagery that comes out of both the magical qualities of creatures here and of course the characters themselves. Hence why I found Gilgaerin so <33! :B

- Darker-Than-Black-verse OC: Basically modern-fantasy, slightly mutant-ish, but gives a more complicated than necessary explanation for all the odd powers that people have gotten - that part, I can totally disregard. But basically, after a meteor shower of a special kind (...) people are given powers in the form of contracts. If you have a power, there would be a payment every time you use it - example: a sonic wave woman must eat a handful of cigarettes every time she sings super sonic waves. These contracts only get quirkier and quirkier - rather fun in my eyes. The other parts such as human evolution, emotion-abandonment, and 'dolls' - well, it's not so interesting for me even though as an anime the whole thing worked well together. It has potential, though it doesn't deviate from the x-men setting much if you disregard the plot. The drama part of the anime - after 2 seasons and one OVA, I decided I was not impressed :<
